Edwards is a community organizer and political consultant who lives in Mt. Airy. In 2018 he was a candidate for state House of Representatives seat representing a section of North Philadelphia. He has worked for the Committee of Seventy, the Philadelphia Parks Alliance, and the Biden and Obama presidential campaigns. He’s the political action chair of the NAACP Philadelphia branch, and a city committeeperson. His priorities include improving 911 response times in communities of color, addressing illegal dumping, funding the Board of Ethics, and lowering business taxes.
